I believe you do your city a great deal of harm by showing your 'bubble' of friends as representative of the mainstream of Tel Aviv. But this does not mean most Tel Aviv residents are swishy leftists who prefer 'Palestine' to Israel and have turned to suicidal Gandhian philosophies. (Gandhi himself believed that the British should give up and not fight Nazis, as that would serve as the 'ultimate model' of nonviolence) I believe columns like your's ultimately do a tremendous disservice to Israelis and Tel Aviv residents.
