Im sorry for writing 3 comments. One thing I want to add is that this is probably the product of sentionalism, newspapers trying to inflate stories, and put emotions into them, because it sells better... Its just capitalism I guess.

Pedro, no as Lisa said, Haaretz is not banned in Lebanon, neither is any other site out there, and apart from a few very provocative books, Lebanon is the place for all media to strive. Lebanon is labeled as the 'Country of Freedoms'. Everyone can voice their opinion, from the radical Hizbut-Tahrir to the hard secterian Comunists. The extreme left and extreme right all exist and their existance is enriched by our free media. However, this is what Hezballa have decided should cease to exist, and have decided to turn Lebanon into another dull arab country like Syria. They have failed. All the media outlets they tried to silence are back on. They are : Future TV, The Future Daily, East FM, Al Shira' Magazine, Al-Liwa'a Daily and finally Sevant Armenian FM.

This comes to show that the Lebanese people are very strong and are reseliant to the Iranian schemes. We will not bow down to their terror. And we will no longer allow them to fool us with the 'resistance' taglines. These barbarians have lost this battle.

Lisa, I've been missing your posts. Sorry not to have been in touch for so long. Also sorry I missed you at Jewish Book Week. Glad you have so many fans in London. Love to read what you're up to and your gloss on what's going on in the Middle East - feels like the only sane commentary out there sometimes.

Sorry Lisa but i'm writing this comment to March14.
1)Zvi Bar'el wrote about the destruction of the Hariri's tv station and the manipulation of the event by Hezballa
2)Are the Ha'aretz.com blocked in Lebanon?

P.S. And Lisa there is nothing new in the Bubble

Pedro: Thanks for reminding me about Bar'el's reporting - and no, Haaretz is not blocked in Lebanon. Nothing new in whose bubble, by the way? Lisa

Gracious- I was getting worried there until I got to the update- a whole blogpost about Lebanon and not a single mention of the lovely Mr. Yechezkeli's efforts to keep us informed... I'm calmed, now ;-)

(And obviously don't mean to detract in any way from the seriousness of the Lebanese situation!)

PP Darling - Even if it were possible to write an entire blog post about the Israeli media and Lebanon without mentioning Mr. Y, it would lack a certain je ne sais quoi in terms of style. N'est ce pas? But he's off the table now, and apparently headed in the direction of a hippie-dippy New Age baal teshuva lifestyle, so the glam factor is starting to wear off.
