Golda had a lover? Who knew?

I am on a brief hiatus, with blogging to resume early next week. Meanwhile, check out the book I photographed at an Amman bookshop. ;)

Don't freak out – it's a novel. Review is here.

  2. Fascinating, in a deeply odd way.
Have a great time doing whatever where-ever!

  3. Are we talking about the same tree-trunk-legged woman who wore thick stockings like a bubbe and had more facial hair than grandpa Dave? I mean, really…Golda?

  4. Hi Adina,
I've seen pictures of her as a younger woman. Surprisingly (very surprisingly!), she was actually rather attractive in her youth. Sadly, Golda did not age gracefully. As I recall, she had no shortage of male companions over the years…

  5. I have been looking for pics of her online as a young woman, but no luck. The earliest I could find was this one, the template stare for every stern hebrew teacher I had as a kid.

  6. The book came out in Italy two years ago… I kinda enjoyed it, thought it wasn't exactly a litteralture masterpiece.
    Anyway, a good reading.

  10. I think Selim Nassib's novel about Umm Kulthoum's lover was sent to everyone who could find Egypt on a map. I see he's into the genre =)
